American Gilt and Patinated Bronze Double Argand Lamp, 19th c., with an urn form front issuing two pierced curved burner arms, on a square base on gilt block feet, now electrified, H.- 17 1/2 in., W.- 18 1/2 in., D.- 8 in. Provenance: from the Estate of Dr. Peter Elwood Dorsett, New Orleans, Louisiana.


  • Condition: Condition consistent with age and use. "Shut/Open" switch is missing. Minor areas of wear to black paint and some areas of minor oxidation to exposed bronze. One small area of pitting to stem under base of urn. Minor dust and surface dirt present throughout, would benefit from a cleaning. A fine example.
