American School, In the Manner of Andy diPietro, "Abstract Wave," 20th c., carved wooden sculpture, on a rectangular mahogany base, H.- 20 in., W.- 25 in., D.- 16 in. Provenance: Palmira, the Estate of Sarkis Kaltakdjian (Sarkis Oriental Rugs), Prairieville, Louisiana.

  • Condition: Condition is consistent with age. There is some wood discoloration around wood pegs on bottom curve of wave. Additionally, there is one vertical (approximately 1 1/2 inch) line scratch visible on top inner part of wave, as well as another line mark 2 inches to the right. The secondary mark could be from wood crack, but unsure. Overall, a very handsome example.
